3 Kitchen Messes You’re Going To Miss Someday & Cleaning Them Up Quickly

3 Things In The Kitchen I'm Going To Miss Someday #HeartMyHome

A clean house makes me happy, but not as happy as I am when I have extra time to spend with my children. Sometimes cleaning up my kitchen can be overwhelming. Dirt, papers piling up from school, book bags thrown on the floor along with 4 sets of little fingers (some not so little) touching our stainless steel appliances can sometimes make me feel like our kitchen is a disaster. I love the way that the stainless looks in my kitchen, but I don’t care for the sticky fingerprints and smudges. Someday I know will miss all of these messes because right now they mean my house is full of children. These 3 Messes- Smudges, Clutter & Dirt can be taken care of quickly though with a little organization and Pledge Multi Surface!

Kitchen Messes & Snack Time

Pledge Multi Surface Everyday Cleaner with Glade Rainshower Fragrance cleans quickly, leaving my kitchen shiny and smelling nice. Unlike other cleaners, Pledge is pH- balanced revives nearly any surface without clouding up or stripping away the finish without leaving behind that yucky, filmy residue without harsh chemicals.

Quickly Freshen Up your Kitchen with Pledge Multi Surface

If you have little hands in the kitchen, you know how messy things can get. Freshening up your kitchen doesn’t have to take all day though! Our dishwasher is probably the appliance that always looks the worst. My older children load and unload the dishes as part of their daily chores. Sometimes water, food and drinks drip down onto the front and make a mess. Once in a while they try to wipe it up with a washcloth or paper towel, but it usually leaves a streaky mess.

Revived Kitchen After Quick Organization & Cleaning

Revitalizing our stainless steel appliances with Pledge Multi Surface a few times a week, gets everything looking like new again.  The best part- it only takes a few minutes! I can quickly go around my kitchen and wipe down the dishwasher, the refrigerator and it’s handles, along with the microwave and even the oven and it’s glass from fun family baking days in about 5-10 minutes! Now, onto the Kitchen Counter Clutter…

Kitchen Counter Clutter Papers, Art, Etc.

All year round, papers from school, art projects and coloring books seem to get dropped off in the corner of our kitchen. It gets pushed to the side and easily piles up. Purchasing a shelf that each child can place their things on clears up that space and looks neat and tidy too. I hung this shelf in the corner close to where my children first walk in the door and I even had room below it to showcase some of their creative artwork too!

Last but not least, it’s the actual dirt that gets tracked through the house when you live in the country. After a lot of rain, it’s mud! It’s great that my kiddos take their shoes and boots off on the rug before coming into the kitchen, but they seem to sometimes forget to knock off the mud before coming in! What a mess!

Muddy Mess Kitchen Entry Way

Buying or making a cute little sign like this ( I found mine at a Craft Show), hanging it on the entryway door your family uses the most and actually enforcing this rule for those old enough to follow it seems to work out really well at our house! 😉

I finally feel good about my “last minute, quick” cleaning whether it’s to get outside and play a game of ball with my kiddos before bedtime or to sit down and enjoy some company.

Someday I won’t have all of these messes from everyone, so I am going to actually enjoy them as long as they can be cleaned up quickly!
