My daughter just loves horses. Ever since she was little she was just drawn to them. While other girls her age were reading princess books, my daughter was reading all about different horses and which one she wanted. At the time we lived in town, so we would go horseback riding through trails on special occasions like her birthday so she could get her fill of horse fun. She just loved it, and over the years it’s not something she has grown out of at all.
We have been at our new home in the country for 2 years now and we are just about situated with the addition and land at our home. Sometime soon the old garage on our property will become a stable and will be home for our horse. Her horse. As far as the work that comes along with owning a horse, my daughter has never been afraid of getting her hands dirty. If something needs to be done, especially outdoors to help her father on the tractor, with things in the barn or on our property, she just gets right in there and does it. No questions asked. We’ve always called her our little country girl and I just love her to pieces.
I don’t know that much about horses, and it’s been a few years since we have gone riding, so my daughter is just itching for some horse time. I am sure my daughter will love all of the other gifts she receives for Christmas this year, but this one is going to be really special and I cannot wait to see her face when she opens it!

What an awesome gift Shannon! I can just hear your daughter squealing with delight! My daughter used to ride. She was lucky enough to have an aunt that owns an equestrian center. She used to compete in dressage and hunter jumper series and was also in pony club. It’s such a great sport or hobby that teaches so many great lessons! I learned a lot too! I spent many late nights braiding manes and tails preparing for competitions. Definitely an expensive hobby! Good thing you were able to use Groupon. They always have so many great discounts on a variety of things!
