Frozen: How Fresh Stays Fresh & Our Family’s Favorites

Frozen-How-Fresh-Stays-Fresh

It’s almost that time of year again…Back to School!  With everyone trying to get adjusted to new schedules, sometimes it’s hard to squeeze in home cooked meals everyday.  We still like to keep some of our family’s schedule the same in the fall like family movie nights and special weekend breakfasts.   I’ve got to admit, that sometimes after a long and busy week, I don’t feel like cooking on those special family times.  When we have extended family over or even if we are just having a movie night together, you have to have good food.  Food goes along with visiting and spending time together right? 🙂

Last week I shared a post with you “Fresh: How Fresh Stays Fresh & My Personal Favorites” and how I keep my favorite frozen foods on hand for myself when I am really busy.  Well, I am not the only one who is busy, so today I am sharing my Family’s Frozen Food Favorites made with real ingredients!  Just like my individual sized favorite frozen foods, the frozen foods we all love as a family have the same.  Frozen. How Fresh Stays Fresh!

The benefits of frozen foods are that freezing naturally pauses those great recipes made with fresh, quality ingredients and suspends them there until the moment you and your family are ready to enjoy them.  Freezing locks in the food’s freshness, flavor and nutrients and freezing is simply how fresh stays fresh.  Because there is never a dull moment in our house between running the children here and there to practices, my husband working late and keeping our family and get together time, I rely on our Frozen Food Favorites at least a few times a week.  Compare fresh vs frozen and see what you think!

Kelloggs Eggo Waffles

On the weekends, my children sometimes have friends over.  When we are entertaining guests, Kellogg’s Eggo Waffles are always a hit, and there is no messy cleanup!  They are light and crispy and come in a variety of flavors, and happen to be a childhood favorite of mine!  Sometimes I like to serve them as a quick breakfast right out of the toaster, plain and wrapped in a paper towel if my kiddos are running late in the morning.

Hillshires Jimmy Dean Bacon Egg Cheese Biscuits

Some weekend mornings we sleep in a bit and eat more of a brunch style breakfast.  We might have family that stops by to visit in the late morning and Hillshire’s Jimmy Dean Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuits make a filling breakfast option with Home Cooked flavor that’s ready in minutes from the microwave.  They also go great with fresh fruit.  Made with real eggs, bacon and cheese on a buttery biscuit, these not only are pretty darn good, but they come individually wrapped so you can make as little or as much as you need and enjoy your company.

Schwans Freschetta Chicken Club Pizza

Family Movie Nights on Fridays are my favorite!  I don’t mind if extra family members stop by and enjoy a great movie with us either!  Schwan’s Freschetta Frozen Pizzas are the perfect meal for a family filled evening and I always have at least a few in the freezer ready to go.  Freschetta pizzas are made with all-natural ingredients too!  The sauce is made from real tomatoes and the toppings range from generously cut meats to fresh vegetables.  Using seasoned sausage, special-recipe pepperoni, delicate Canadian bacon and flavorful vegetables, every Freschetta pizza is topped with the finest ingredients.  Our favorite is Freschetta’s Brick Oven Crust Chicken Club Pizza!  It’s made with premium grilled white meat chicken, bacon, tomatoes, spinach, and 100% real mozzarella cheese and a creamy Parmesan sauce that covers the tender and crisp crust.  It’s delicious!

Ore-Ida Golden Crinkles Birds Eye Broccoli with Cheese Sauce

When the weather is nice and we have family and friends over for hotdogs and hamburgers, Heinz tasty Ore-Ida Golden Crinkle Fries make a great side dish along with Pinnacle Bird’s Eye Steamfresh Vegetables that take only minutes to prepare in the microwave.  We really like the Broccoli In Cheese Sauce!

Pillsbury Toaster Strudel

If we’ve been outside on the patio all evening after dinner, as soon as it’s dark I usually head inside with the children.  I get them cleaned up and sometimes give them a special night time snack.  General Mills Apple Pillsbury Toaster Strudels are our favorite frozen late night treat.  We love the sweet filling, flaky crust and of course the icing which everyone wants designed their own way!

Do you have frozen food you rely on for family meals or entertaining?  I would love to hear about some of your favorites!
