Cinnamon & Raisin Snack Mix

September 17, 2014 by Shannon

Cinnamon & Raisin Snack Mix

My children have been back to school for a few weeks now and we are in a really nice routine.  The daily packing of lunches, snacks, having an after school snack ready and then making dinner for my hungry guys can be a little tiring at times though.  Since I have one child in middle school and the younger children in elementary, our schedule is split for the 2 different bus runs as well.  We are getting through it and planning is definitely the key!  I love to have a bunch of easy, tasty and on the go recipes handy, including this yummy Cinnamon & Raisin Snack Mix.

Ingredients for Cinnamon & Raisin Snack Mix

This Cinnamon & Raisin Snack Mix takes only a few moments to put together and makes a nice large batch that you can divide up into individual containers or bags that are convenient to grab on a busy school morning.  Cinnamon Multi Grain Cereal is mixed with dry roasted pumpkin seeds, cinnamon almonds, and plump and juicy California Raisins for a delicious and healthy snack.

Mixing Cinnamon & Raisin Snack Mix

When I was little, I loved having raisins for a snack.  I usually had my own little box , which made me feel pretty special.  California Raisins are an all-natural, dried-by-the-sun fruit you can feel good about serving your own children for a snack at school or as an after-school snack. The ingredient list says it all: Raisins.  California Raisins come by their sweetness naturally too.  California Raisins have no fat, no cholesterol and no added sugar. Plus, raisins offer 9% of your daily fiber and potassium, and 6% of your daily iron (per quarter cup serving).

Simple Cinnamon & Raisin Snack Mix

I have made this Cinnamon & Raisin Snack mix more than a few times now and everyone just loves it.  That warm cinnamon flavor, those sweet raisins and a little crunch from the almonds and pumpkin seeds make a perfect snack for Fall.  If you are looking for a little something different to send along with your children to school this Fall, give this simple snack mix a try!  I think you will love it!
