Having Fun with a #CakeBossParty

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Cake Boss. I received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Having Fun with a Cake Boss Party #CakeBossParty

Last Monday I had the amazing opportunity to host a Cake Boss Party for some lovely ladies in my life!  It was the day after we celebrated Christmas with my mom’s side of the family and it was not only fun, but nice to spend sometime together outside of all the hustle and bustle of the Holidays.  Getting food prepared and presents wrapped was all taken care of, so we really got to enjoy an evening without a lot of “to do’s” running through our minds.  A yummy cake decorating party was a tasty way to end a Monday too!

Cake Boss Party Baking Supplies

I spent Monday morning baking the cakes and getting everything ready so that when my guests arrived we could decorate.  I prepared several of The Cake Boss Divine White Cake Mix in 9 inch cake pans and Flower Cakelette Pans for variety.  I used the cute Devoted to Dessert Spoonula to make sure I got every bit of the batter into the pans too.  This tool is fantastic and is one of my favorites!

The cake mix has a secret ingredient too…real custard creme!  That’s right, custard, baked right in the cake.  Let me tell you that this was the BEST boxed cake mix I have ever used and it was so easy to make.  The cake stayed moist and had a wonderful flavor.  I’m definitely going to grab a few more of those (and a few other flavors) the next time I’m at Michaels.  Yum!

When everyone arrived, we ate a light dinner and got to work.  We all started by frosting our cakes with The Cake Boss Viva Vanilla Frosting (delicious too by the way) and then we started getting into some really fun things!  Everyone was so creative!

Some of us decided to roll out the Decorating Icing and different colored fondant for the top of our cakes which gave them such a nice smooth appearance and some of us piped the regular frosting onto our cakes with different Cake Boss tips.

Cake Boss Decorating Must Haves

I had never worked with fondant before, but it was so easy!  I’m really looking forward to making more cakes with it soon!  The pretty Decorating Turntable also made decorating so much easier.  It’s a definite must have for anyone who likes to bake and decorate cakes.

Some of our children helped joined in on the fun making cakes too.

The smaller cakes were perfect for the kiddos and they LOVED trying all of the different tips on the colored icings.  To top off the cakes and make them extra special we added some pretty sprinkles.

How do you think they turned out?

We were pretty proud of them! 🙂

At the end of the evening, all of my guests took home a very nice goodie bag too!  Each guest received an 8 Inch Icing Spatula, a Devoted to Dessert Spoonula, a Cake Boss Sprinkle assortment pack, Rainbow Sprinkles and a container of Viva Vanilla Frosting so they can continue some fun cake decorating at home.

The Cake Boss was extremely generous and also sent me a lovely Cake Carrier to transport any lovely cakes I make in the future, which I absolutely love, along with some beautiful & fun, microwave and dishwasher safe dessert plates, mugs and prep bowl set for my baking and serving needs.

If you have a baker in your life, any of these products would be perfect this Holiday season.  I am so happy that I had the chance to experience so many of them.
