Help Others This Holiday With a Wish – #WishesDelivered

It’s that time of year again! With the Holidays just around the corner, many of us are shopping for gifts already and searching for those perfect gifts for our loved ones. This season is truly about giving. We give to those we love, we give to those we really care about and hopefully we are giving to those who are in need and are less fortunate than we are. Especially during the Holidays, I try to find ways that I can help others. Today I am sharing the UPS #WishesDelivered Campaign with you. As you anxiously await packages to arrive on your doorstep this year, think about this… Every package that ends up on your doorstep started from a wish. UPS workers work hard to deliver everyday wishes throughout the holiday season and beyond. This Holiday season, UPS wants you to share your wishes and stories so they can make this time of year really special, but we need your help!  What’s your wish?

Now until December 31, 2014, you can submit a wish to UPS. This wish is to be a heart-felt, selfless and thoughtful wish for someone else. The wish should be meaningful and be made on behalf of another person. For every wish submitted with the hashtag #WishesDelivered, UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, or Toys for Tots) up to $100K! Wishes can automatically be submitted to the #WishesDelivered site by simply posting the wish on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WishesDelivered, or going directly to the #WishesDelivered site and submitting your wish there.

This is a wonderful way to reflect and share the importance of giving and thinking about others this Holiday season. Make sure that you get your whole family involved too. Sit down and talk about the importance of giving and really think about what is really needed this time of year. I know my children had some really sweet and thoughtful ideas for wishes this year and it really got them thinking about others. By taking a few moments to share your wish, you are helping raise money and awareness for important causes that will benefit so many people and families this season.
