Cleaning is one of those things that just has to be done whether you like it or not! I personally enjoy cleaning. When my house is clean, I am always in a great mood! There is something about clean floors and no dust bunnies that puts a big smile on my face! 🙂 Last month I had the opportunity to try out Swiffer’s #BigGreenBox! You know, the one in the commercials! Let me tell you, I was beyond excited to receive my own #BigGreenBox, and another one to share with a special friend or relative.
Every time I see the Swiffer commercials featuring that sweet older couple, Lee and Morty, I always think of my grandmother. She has the cleanest house around and never lets age get in the way of any of her cleaning. I understand that she has certain jobs that she wants to get done, but I wanted to surprise her with her very own Big Green Swiffer Box to help her out a bit with her daily cleaning chores.
It was a little hard to “sneak” the box over to her house with 4 great grandchildren in tow to deliver the surprise. My grandma was thrilled with her Big Green Swiffer Box and couldn’t thank me enough. She even said, “Oh, my gosh, these are the one’s on the commercial!”
Guess what my grandma was doing when we arrived? Cleaning! She had all of her kitchen drawers out on the table and was wiping everything down from the outsides of the cupboards to the items that were in the drawers. She couldn’t wait to show me how clean the inside of her cabinets and dishes were and told me how happy she gets when everything is clean. I was so happy that she could use her new Swiffer items to help her clean the floors and dust her blinds.
Swiffer actually makes it fun and easy for others to help out with cleaning. This leaves people with more time to enjoy what matters most to them, and less time worrying about or dealing with the mess at home.
My older children have been given a little more responsibility in the cleaning department lately.
