When It Is Cold Outside…Warm Up In The Kitchen

January 22, 2013 by Shannon

This morning I made sure to really bundle the children up before sending them out to wait for the bus.  With wind chills around -15…it’s cold outside!  I woke up and baked oatmeal in the oven that I had frozen last week:)  It always makes me feel good to serve a warm breakfast when it is so cold.  I feel like I warmed the children up for the day.  Since I will not be venturing outside the home today, I am going to spend the day cooking and baking to stock my freezer.  I will be making egg and cheese omelets,  Morning Glory Muffins (recipe to come tomorrow), pizza dough and a few batches of warm baked oatmeal.  What do you like to bake on a cold day?  Have a wonderful day and stay warm and cozy:)
