Date Night with Breyers Gelato Indulgences

 With busy schedules and four children, my husband and I always try to make time for date nights.  Most our our date nights are not those of the “going out” sort.  We actually prefer simple, quiet date nights in.  I know to some that may sound boring, but for us it’s relaxing and we get to enjoy each other’s company without interruption after out kiddos have gone to bed.  Sometimes we order takeout for a late dinner, watch a movie or sometimes we just turn on good music, drink wine and talk.  To me, that’s what it’s all about right there! Spending time together!

I am always looking for new indulgent desserts for us to try on one of our date nights in.  I’m always excited when I can find one too, because that means I get a break in the kitchen!  If you have browsed through the freezer section at your grocery store lately, you may have come across Breyers Gelato Indulgences.  It comes in 4 delicious and tempting varieties and is the perfect treat to share with your special someone.

After a long weekend of gardening and work around the house, Monday evening I got our children bathed and tucked into bed for 8 pm.  My husband was finishing up some tractor work, and the sunset was about an hour away.  Since we live in the country, the sky is always full of brilliant, beautiful colors and you can really sit back and enjoy all that is around you.  I grabbed a blanket, Breyers Titamisu Gelato Indulgences, two spoons and headed outside.  I laid out the blanket in the grass and grabbed my husband just as he was closing up the barn.  We sat there together, enjoyed the outdoors, talked about the weekend and shared dessert.  The Tiramisu Gelato was rich, creamy and absolutely delicious!  I was very impressed with the texture and flavor.  It was sooo good!

 

As the sun set, we headed inside and decided to give the other flavors a try.  Why not?!  Each flavor was equally wonderful and we had a hard time deciding which was our favorite.  My husband ended up eating quite a bit of the Vanilla Caramel one, and I stuck with the Tiramisu.  This Gelato makes such a nice and special dessert that I will not hesitate to purchase them again and again in the future, especially during the hot summer.  What better way to end the day?
