10 Healthier Dinner Ideas for the New Year

With New Year’s Eve only a few days away, I am doing my best to get things situated and cleaned up around our home from Christmas. This means getting my kitchen and refrigerator ready for a fresh start too. After a lot (and I mean a lot) of yummy holiday cookies and comforting meals, I’m ready to start 2016 with some healthier meals for my family. Here’s 10 Healthier Dinner Ideas for the New Year!

Bleu Cheese Buffalo Chicken Burgers

We live right outside Buffalo and let me tell you- no one does chicken wings or chicken fingers like we do here! With that being said, those types of foods are definitely one of my downfalls. Minus the hefty drizzle of blue cheese like I used in this picture, these lean ground chicken burgers are really easy to make and with a light amount of blue cheese, give you that yummy Buffalo flavor you’re looking for without all of the fat and grease. Don’t forget to add a few fresh, thick slices of tomato too! These are easy to make on your (affiliate) George Foreman Grill  and are a great option during the big game or just for a simple meal with a salad on a weeknight!

Slow Cooker Vegetable Lasagna

Easy Cheddar & Spinach Quiche

I hope these recipes find their way onto your family’s dinner table in the New Year & that you enjoy them as much as we do here at our home!
