I love trying different combinations of quick breads and muffins, but sometimes I just want a good old fashioned, simple recipe. This Banana Nut Bread is just that. It is simple, comforting and just like your grandmother use to make. The smell of this baking in the oven fills the house with a wonderful, welcoming aroma. This bread is so moist, that you may not even feel the need to butter it. Of course, fresh butter only adds to the the flavor of this bread, fresh and warm from the oven. This recipe makes 2 large loaves of bread so that your family can enjoy some for breakfast and freeze the other loaf for a different day. This would also be a great thank you gift for a friend or neighbor who has done something nice for you recently. Sometimes it’s the simple recipes that our loved ones enjoy the most. What are some of your favorite Old Fashioned Recipes?
