This time of year the fruit stands around here are full of fresh berries. If you don’t have your own orchard in your backyard, many of these places also allow you to pick your own fruit. My children and I really look forward to that every year. It’s one of our favorite things to do in the summer. There is nothing better than making a delicious dessert with the fruit you just harvested. I made this yummy Warm Blueberry Crisp in 8 oz. canning jars because I love how the dessert looks in them and hey, it’s great portion control, right? If you are having a family get together or picnic, the recipe can be doubled, and can even be made ahead of time. Everyone will love their own individual servings of this special homemade dessert. The sweetened, warm blueberries topped with this buttery, slightly crisp topping are the perfect summer treat. Make it extra special with homemade whipped cream or ice cream!
